Charlene has over 10 years’ experience in Training and Development and the Retail industry. She has worked in the retail industry locally and abroad representing various brands which equipped her in a wide range of disciplines. Throughout the years she published various articles as well as Television Interviews and appearances. In 2015 Charlene Attended the Retail Management Development Program (RMDP) through the University of Pretoria which has given her valuable insight on retail in the global South African context. Her passion for the industry and their people awakened a dream for Charlene to open the Retail School of Excellence that will become the market leader in retail education and research in South Africa. Giving every person currently working in the retail industry access to world class industry information, education and career growth opportunities. With this she would also like to fire up a passion for retail in South African youth as this is a career that has so much to offer.

“Retail plays a vital role in the South African economy , being the third largest industry in the South African economy, contributing around 15% to the GDP and employing close to 10% of working South Africans. Sale staff are at the heart of this economic activity, and are generally unskilled when entering the retail workforce. It is therefore important to further skills development and to create a more professional, skilled workforce” - Charlene Cronje
